We Are Seething

Where has the state of our country gone to?
But then again, one can argue that “The Mexican” was never welcomed since our land was stolen in the 1850’s.
I can feel the anger boiling from our ancestors. You can hear them seething from their mouths.
Disgusted with all the self-hating coconuts trying to grasp at whiteness they will never reach.
History shows our anger and our demise.
The othering of our people, from the lynching of Mexicans.
To the Bracero Program dousing its workers in chemicals that cause cancer and neurological damage.
To the forced sterilization our women endured.
To the ICE concentration camps, where our children are being raped and disappeared.
To the killing of our people, for simply being brown.
The ancestors are angry with the self-hating coconut.
History has shown us time and time again that you will never be seen as white.
You will always be the “OTHER.”
Angry that you turn a blind eye to our oppression.
Eventually you will have to answer for your choices.
You already see that our rights, YOUR rights, are being stripped away.
This is what you voted for, coconut.
For the murdering of the Latino. No matter if you are here legally or illegally.
Death is in your hands and your Ancestors feel disgraced.
Revolution will come and it will have no place for the “COCONUT!”
