ANNIVERSARY GALLERY

The Jennifer and Philip DiNapoli Gallery, | Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library

September – November 1st, 2026 | FREE to the public

Seven years ago, EASTSIDE Magazine set out on a mission, to highlight East San José’s deeply rooted history, cultural vibrancy, ample assets, and considerable resources.

Following our milestone 5th Anniversary Gallery in 2025, this fall the gallery showcases in downtown San Jose, spanning Hispanic Heritage Month and Día de los Muertos — seasons that, like EASTSIDE itself, are about memory, lineage, and celebration.

THE FOUNDERS

Founded in 2019 by SJSU Alumni Omar Rodriguez, ’05 Marketing, and Rosanna Alvarez, ’11 MA Chicana and Chicano Studies

THE GALLERY

Inside, you'll find the art, poetry, and photography that our contributors have shared with this community since our very first print run. Some pieces you'll remember. Others you may be seeing for the first time.

Come experience the historical legacy and rich culture of the communities that make East San Jose home.

EASTSIDE Magazine is a free bilingual (English/Spanish) quarterly publication now in its seventh year, centering the voices of  East San José through personal narratives, photography, poetry, and visual art.
